This crochet keychain pattern pack gives you three amigurumi keychains in one purchase: a little grey cat with a curled tail, a round bunny head with two long ears and a sitting puppy with floppy ears and a red bow. They are small projects that use very little yarn, so one ball goes a long way and your leftovers finally have a job.
Each animal in the crochet keychain pattern pack is a complete, separate PDF. These are the same files you can buy singly on this site, with every step, photo and stitch count included, at a lower price than buying them one by one.
Bought one by one, these three patterns cost $12.97. In this pack they cost $9.99, so you save $2.98.
Across the three files that comes to 117 steps, 129 photos and 54 pages, which is plenty of guidance for projects that fit in your palm.
The cat has the fewest steps of the three, so it is a natural place to start. Its head and body are one piece: you start at the top of the head, narrow in for the neck and widen again for the body, so there is very little to sew. The tail is a thin tube with craft wire or a pipe cleaner inside, which lets you bend it into a curl. The ears are two tiny triangles, and the eyes and whiskers are stitched in black yarn. A strand of red yarn and a small bell make an optional collar.
The bunny is a head and nothing else, which is exactly why it works so well on a bag. You start with a magic ring at the top, increase out to 40 stitches, work some even rounds, then decrease, stuff and close at the bottom. Two ears are worked separately, pressed flat and sewn between rounds 2 and 3. The face is a pair of small safety eyes or stitched eyes, a little pink nose and some optional blush brushed on at the end.
The puppy is the smallest and most detailed of the three. With DK cotton and a 2 mm hook it stands about 5 to 6 cm tall. The head and body are one piece of 22 rounds, and the legs, ears, snout, tail and bow are tiny separate parts sewn on at named rounds. If you are new to small pieces, you may want to make this one last.
Small animals are fiddly, and that is where a photo for every step earns its place. All three PDFs use continuous rounds and give you a stitch count for each round, a quick reference section and a page for when something looks wrong. Once you have made one, the others feel familiar, because the same magic ring, increases and decreases carry you through all of them.
Making three also means you can change the yarn and see what happens. Each pattern tells you which weight it was written for, and a thicker yarn with a bigger hook gives you a bigger animal from the same counts. That is an easy way to turn a keychain into a shelf plush.
The cat uses soft 5-ply cotton, the bunny 4-ply cotton or a blend and the puppy DK cotton. If your label names the weight differently, the Craft Yarn Council yarn weight chart helps you compare. Across the pack you will need:
All three are rated easy. If you can work in the round with increases and decreases, you can make them, and the stitch guide in each PDF covers everything else. They also make handy small gifts, because each one uses so little yarn. Want to try a tiny project for free first? Our crochet cherry keychain tutorial is a good place to start.

Yes. Each pattern is its own PDF, so you can print one and leave the others for later.
No. The cat uses a 3.5 mm hook, the bunny a 3 mm hook and the puppy a 2 mm hook, with yarn to match. Each PDF lists its own materials.
Key rings and any bells or safety eyes are small parts, so these make keychains and decorations, not toys for children under 3. The cat and puppy PDFs explain what to leave out if you are making one for a small child.
No. These are digital PDF patterns. You download the files after checkout.
