Why this notice exists

United States Federal Trade Commission rules (16 CFR Part 255) require a clear disclosure whenever a publisher has a financial connection to a product it writes about. This page is that disclosure, and we also mark affiliate sections inside individual guides rather than relying on this page alone.

What we may earn from

Yarn, hooks, stitch markers, blocking mats, storage and beginner kits. These are the tools a blanket actually requires, and they are the only category where a purchase link makes sense on a site like this.

What we never do

We do not accept payment for a positive review.
We do not rank a product higher because it pays more.
We do not put affiliate links inside a free pattern roundup in place of the designer’s own link. The designer link always comes first.
We do not hide affiliate links behind text that pretends to be editorial.

Recommendations are based on fibre content, yardage per unit cost, washability and how the yarn behaves in a large flat piece. A blanket is hundreds of hours and thousands of yards, so the wrong yarn is an expensive mistake. We would rather tell you that a cheaper yarn is the right one.
